Return to Tumbledown: The Falklands-Malvinas War Revisited
by Mike Seear

Date of Publication: 10 June 2012

Mike Seear served for more than two decades in the British Army, seeing tours of duty in Northern Ireland, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Canada, Germany, the USA and Norway. He was also a combatant in the Falklands-Malvinas War of 1982. Since retiring from the British Army in 1988 with the rank of Major he has become a specialist in the history and aftermath of that conflict, and the present volume is the third and largest of his books about it. He is the author of With the Gurkhas in the Falklands: A War Journal (2003) and co-edited Hors de Combat: the Falklands-Malvinas Conflict in Retrospect (2007).

Remarkable and unprecedented access to Argentine first-hand sources and participants is balanced by a scrupulous concern for evoking contemporary and subsequent British and Islander witness, testimony and recollection. Bernard McGuirk, author of Falklands-Malvinas: An Unfinished Business.
